Review | Origins Zero Oil Pore Purifying Toner

Have we noticed a theme in the products I've been reviewing lately? Everything is all about the texture and tightening those pores. I'm the kind of person who is very aware of what's wrong with my skin and if I'm going to invest in a product then I'm going to make sure it works towards fixing my problem areas. My pores are pretty bad and so I know that I want to be using products that are going to help tighten them and fix that texture a bit. They've definitely improved recently due to my skin care routine and another little addition to said routine is the Origins Zero Oil Pore Purifying Toner.

Origins is a line that I just really trust with my skin. I use their cleanser everyday and own countless masks so it was a wonder that I hadn't tried this product before. The Zero Oil Toner is meant to remove excess oils without overdrying the skin as well as act as a minimising agent for your pores. It also offers to reduce shine and really just acts as any other toner leaving your skin clean and refreshed. I like to use this product after my cleanser and exfoliant and I have definitely noticed a difference when using it. It does slightly tighten my pores as well as just cleans those crevasses sometimes my cleanser can't get to. This toner has a slightly minty cooling scent which is fairly nice and it has definitely worked to reduce my oil without horribly drying out my skin. I will say that when applying it does create a bit of hyper pigmentation to my acne areas so I only use this product at night time before I go to bed.

Overall, my skin just feels cleaner and it's a nice step in my routine. I like that it feels tight on my pores and I do believe it is making a difference which is all I can ask for in a skincare product. I've been eyeing their cleanser in this range recently and would love to know if any of you have tried it so let me know if that would be something I should pick out and until next time x

  8. I hadn't even heard of this product before! From the photo I thought it was their spot busting one. It's amazing you can see a change though! I mainly suffer with large pores and always struggle to see a difference at times. I think that their foaming cleanser is bloody marvellous!

  12. I've been a bit weary of toner because I've heard that they can cause the skin to breakout... But then again my pores are annoyingly big at the moment so maybe it wouldn't hurt adding a toner into my routine!

  20. I don't know the first thing about beauty/skincare. I can only tell if my face is dry or oily (or both??) or breaking out. I'm not really sure how to determine whether or not my pores are big. But anyways, my mom gave me a skincare set from a therapeutic essential oils brand called dōTERRA and included in it is some toner, which I use and that I think has helped :) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey's

  24. I like the idea of this, especially because I've got oily prone skin. The fact that it tightens your skin is a bonus for me.

  25. Toner doesn't really seem to work for me. I love the idea of it but in reality it just makes my skin feel really tight. It also makes it look dull instead of bright. Does this toner seem very drying?

  26. I would love to try this during the warmer months when my skin isn't so dry, but right now I think it would just agitate my skin further. I'm definitely interested in this now, thanks for sharing your skin care find!

  31. I love how vintage -y this photo is, it looks so cute! It sounds really good for what you need, but I already have quite a lot of hyperpigmentation from when I had acne so I'd probably steer clear personally!

  33. Is this heavily fragranced or not? Some Origins products are just too strong smelling for me, I daren't use them for fear that they'll break me out!
