I'm constantly whining about my skin texture and although it's definitely improved, there's still some uneven spots that are just very difficult to conceal. This foundation claims to go beyond skin tone matching and actually fits the unique texture your skin has for the ultimate coverage and look. As I use a pore minimising primer everyday, the added foundation that is meant to work towards concealing my bigger pores was really something I had to give a try. It really does what it claims to do. My foundation has been going on super smooth and leaving my skin looking completely matte and clear. I still have my spots here and there that are naturally going to distort the texture but it works to really smoothen my lines and even that annoying forehead crease has become bearable.
I am in the shade 120 Classic Ivory and the match is actually better than my go to Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation. It's a gorgeous lighter shade that although mattifying makes my skin look healthier. The coverage is buildable but definitely more in the medium range and the formula is creamy but not too watery. When building this formula up, it doesn't appear to cake like other foundations do which is super impressive for a drugstore brand. I will say the only drawback is that when adding a contour it does get a little muddy which I'm still trying to work around but the coverage is just so good that that's simply a minute problem.
The Maybelline FIT ME! Matte + Poreless Foundation has definitely become my everyday choice. I even opt for it when it comes to big days like today where I go to take my permit test exam. It's definitely become a staple in my beauty regime and it's a drugstore brand which is so refreshing to find and enjoy.
Great post! I'm looking also for a good drugstore foundation! Thanks for the recommendation :)

Perfect Imperfections
Beautiful pictures! This sounds like such a lovely foundation, and I will definitely keep it in mind since it seems to fit my skin needs perfectly. I am loving the Covergirl 3 in 1 Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation right now, and it's staying power and coverage is great as it's a primer, foundation, and setting powder all in one :)

Ooh I haven't heard much about this, but it sounds great! I have the original Fit Me foundation and the only problem I have with it is that the lightest shade is a tad too dark for me in Winter! I hope this comes to the UK!

That is a great tip Stefanie! :)

I have the normal Fit Me foundation and I like it very well, especially for winter as my skin is really dry and it seems to be somewhat hydrating. However, for summer I'll need to switch over to this one as I tend to get more oily during warmer months. I love this foundation, and the concealer is really nice as well! I don't like the pressed powder though, because it does tend to make your face look cakey.

I'd like to give this one a try, I've never dabbled into drugstore foundation before though I heard a lot of good things about the regular Fit Me and one of Covergirl's foundations as well.

Need to try this! Not a massive fan of a lot of drugstore foundations, but the drugstore landscape seems to be improving lately! Crossing my fingers that this appears in the UK some time soon!

ReplyDeleteDoes it contain a lot of silicones? The claims sound like that.
And is SPF included?
Thanks in advance,
