January 2014 Wishlist

January Wishlist

This month is a bit of a spending ban for me since I'm trying to save up some extra money to go wild in the shops with during my vacation to California. I do however, have my eye on a few high end products that I am just dying to try out. Origins products have continued to pop up everywhere in the blogsephere and on youtube and although they have a fairly high price tag, they seem to really work. Two products I've been wanting to try out are the Origins Clear Improvement Mask and the Origins Super Spot Remover. I actually just ran out of my Tea Tree Oil Spot Remover from The Body Shop and was wanting to give the Origins product a try for a change in my skincare routine. I also have been hearing everyone rave about the Nars Concealer and since 2013 was the year I fell head over heels for Nars products it has definitely made it onto my wish list this month. Lastly, are two products from Hourglass. The Mineral Veil Primer had shown up on almost all of my favourite guru's 2013 favourites which definitely peeked my attention. I do want to get my hands on a sample of this before I go all out and make the purchase but it seems to work wonders for priming the skin and creating an all around perfect base for any complexion. A few of you actually have mentioned the Hourglass Eyebrow Pencil when I spoke about my love affair with the Anastasia Brow Wiz and upon further research I'm truly intrigued by this eyebrow product. It is a bit thicker than any other pencils I've seen on the market and has an interesting slant to the actual product which can end up either being a hit or miss. All in all, I really want to pick it up and do a comparison between it and the Anastasia Brow Wiz. Let me know if you guys would be interested in seeing a post on that in the near future.

So, my wish list isn't too long this month but it does have some pricey gems that would be amazing pieces to add to my collection. I've also been seeing that the drugstore lines have been bringing out all their new 2014 products recently and I am already scribbling wish lists down for my California adventure. The Maybelline Baby Skin Primer has particularly sparked my attention. The only bummer is that as their products improve, their price tag also seems to keep going up. I'm kind of on the fence about spending anything over $10 for a drugstore brand. Have you guys been noticing this sudden change as well?

What have you been eyeing this month? I would love to know if any of you have tried any of these products and if they're worth the purchase. Let me know, down bellow!

  6. The origins mask is amazing!! It leaves your skin so beautiful! That Nars concealer is my favorite at the moment!! I too fell in love with Nars this year, and it is my favorite brand I would say! I would love to try the Hourglass veil primer but I'm scared of liking it too much because of the high price tag!

  13. I think I need them all! Great Post. If you are looking for dupe of the Nars Concealer try the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, it's just as good. It's been featured in my 2013 top picks.

Keep saving! It takes a lot of will power!
