You all know I love finding new products that help me spot control and when this little bottle showed up on Gh0stparties blog a few weeks back, I knew I had to own it. Lush's Grease Lightning Spot Treatment is a Tea Tree Cleanser that has a clear gel consistency and works hard and fast to treat break outs and spots. I absolutely adore Lush products and swear by tons of them. Something that always draws me in is their use of ingredients that are so natural and good for the skin. Grease Lightning is packed with powerful ingredients including Tea Tree Oil, Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera. I adore Tea Tree Oil because it is so affective in treating spots. It has antiseptic properties that help clean out infections. That powered with Witch Hazel which shrinks spots instantly and Aloe Vera which adds that final punch of soothing texture, this product is a force to be reckoned with.
Another benefit is that it doesn't have a yucky scent like other spot treatments do. It actually is almost odourless which is something I prefer. The packaging is also something to gush about, it comes with a pump! I don't know about you guys but any beauty product that comes with a built in pump automatically scores some brownie points with me. Some of my favourite high end companies always disappoint me when they don't include pumps for their liquid based products.
Let's talk about application. I like to pat on Grease Lightning after washing my face and leave it on to work its magic during the night. Something a lot of spot treatments tend to do is dry out my skin and in the end they cause more damage on my already flawed complexion. This one dries out the spot but not the skin around it and it's clear gel consistency can even be used under makeup to take down the swelling of some nasty spots. For $13.95 this product is a must have. You receive 1.5 oz and just like most Lush products a little goes a long way so I'm sure this will last me for quite a while.
Have you tried Grease Lightning? Are there any other Lush products that you simply adore? Let me know, down bellow!
