Blush was something I used to shy away from for ages. I have really enlarged pores especially directly on my cheeks so adding that natural flush sometimes also adds some unwanted attention to my pored and acne scarring. If you caught one of my recent posts, I went to a contouring and highlighting class at Sephora about a week ago and there some of the girls taught me tips and tricks to apply blush without highlighting my less than perfect skin. Feeling a little more confident about my makeup skills, I decided to pick up a few different shades of blush and one that I fell in absolute love with was the Milani Baked Blush in Rose D' Oro.
Can we just take a moment to talk about this gorgeous packaging? For a drugstore brand, I really think Milani nailed it when creating packaging that really highlights the beauty of this rose gold blush. The baked blush itself also shows such beautiful dimensions of colour. It has a mixture of a lovely rose coral shade with small, highlighting gold specks that create such a natural finish together when applied. I love that this blush can add just the slightest hint of colour without going overboard. When swatched the colour is very pigmented but for my olive complexion it blends out beautifully and doesn't look too harsh on the cheek bones. The shimmer in this blush may also scare you away at first but for me, personally it was just an added highlight where the sparkles weren't chunky but rather dispersed to a fine glow.
Overall, this blush is gorgeous. The formula is pigmented and smooth and when applied wet I bet this shade could even be lovely on the lids. For a price of about $7 Rose D'Oro is well worth it and can brighten any makeup look with a natural flush. If you're like me and you're just now venturing into the realms of blush, try out one of these Milani Baked Blushes they're really worth it.

DeleteThat is stunning, I'm not sure whether I'd suit it though, shimmery blushers don't do me much good. It is beautiful though! I suppose on it would look very different on though, I'd love to see a picture of it on!
