Loving Yourself This Valentine's Day

Let's face it. Being a girl is really not all that easy. People just kinda expect women to fit into this idea; this image of big boobs and a nice butt but definitely no fat anywhere else. (God Forbid!)  Like that's reasonable. Have you guys noticed that everyone on the internet is flaunting something lately? I swear, you don't have to look very far anymore to see people's derriere or nipnaps all over your feed. And for most women who don't look like a Victoria's Secret Model it fucking sucks

With Valentine's Day coming up everyone should remember that they're beautiful and sexy too. Whether you're single or in a committed relationship do something special for yourself this year. Don't buy sexy lingerie to impress a man. Buy something lacey and feminine and beautiful to impress yourself. I have tiny boobs. I would probably be the president of the itty bitty no titty committee. Boobs are balls of fat and when you lose weight, I hate to tell you this but those balls of fat are usually the first to go. I used to have a nice C cupage of fat on my chest and now I'm lucky if I find a negative A to support my lady bits. And ya, half the time I'm super self conscious about it but every once in a while I buy myself a cute little lace bra and look in the mirror and remind myself, I'm sexy too. I can be beautiful and dainty and I don't have to look like everyone else to be that way. I don't need anyone to be attracted to me and I don't care if they are or are not. I want to love myself and be ok with the fact that I don't have boobs.

So this Valentines Day, do something for yourself. Buy yourself a pretty dress or new underwear or rock a sports bra or those Double D's. Whatever body type you are or whether or not you have someone to share the holidays with, Love Yourself. Love that you have come this far in your journey, love that you are beautiful and can be whatever you want to be in life. Love that you're breathing and healthy and alive and appreciate yourself because that's so important these days; every day. Be beautiful by being just you and never having to justify being yourself to you.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone.

  6. Lovely post. I definitely agree that we all need to start loving ourselves more and putting ourselves first to a certain extent. We don't need the approval of anyone else! besides, being confident makes you so much more attractive to others :) x

  7. Love the idea of this, and I have never treated myself to anything on Valentines before. But I do agree lingerie should be entirely for you, and there is nothing nice than a new bra!

  11. Oh my goodness I cannot tell you how much I loved this post. You have such a lovely writing style and honestly this was just what I needed to read as I keep finding all of the body image stuff being shared on social media a little much at the moment. I never think to just buy pretty underwear for myself, and I'm definitely going to treat myself to something.

  13. Nice post! I have small boobs too and I hated them because my sister has big boobs, so I was always comparing myself to her. I finally accepted them and I like them now :) I think every girl should by themselves something cute and sexy just for themselves, not to impress anyone - just to feel good! :)
