Hauling | A little Bit of Lush

Recently I've been on some what of a skincare/bathandbody kick and have really taken the time to try out some new products that can help my body feel pampered and healthy these winter dry months. One shop that always catches my eye in the holiday season is Lush. I used to venture into Lush more often when I was living in Europe. I remember always being so intrigued by their soap bars and natural products so this weekend I picked up a few products to test and tinker with.

Shaving cream sounds kind of silly to really spend time on but as I have newer tattoos that require a more gentle care on my arms and legs, I decided to pick up a more natural based shaving cream. The lady at Lush helping me recommended Ambrosia which is a soothing cream that includes ingredients such as cocoa butter and calming chamomile. She also recommended I sample at least one of their soaps as I had never really taken the time to, so when I described my perfect scents to be a bit muskier she pulled up the gorgeous smelling Sexy Peel. It has a citrus like scent with a musky undertone that just alone sitting in my vanity has left my room smelling amazing. She cut me off a piece small enough to lather but also not to be a full investment in case I wasn't keen on the feel.

Moving onto skincare, I found myself repurchasing an old favourite - Grease Lightning. This was my go to spot controller for quite some time and often the refreshing tea tree oil really helps control my breakouts in my most stressful of months. Speaking of old favourites I used to rant and rave over their Dark Angels Exfoliant and found a cleanser alternative to the line. The Coalface Cleansing Charcoal Bar is basically the Dark Angels Scrub without the harsh particles and in a more lathered soapy bar. I'd never used a bar-like cleanser before so was a bit more cautious on this buy but am really hoping to love this little guy.

That's all I picked up from Lush recently. I'm always so overwhelmed by everything the store has to offer and would love to get some recommendations from you guys for next time I venture into the shops. Let me know what your favourite Lush finds are and what you like to pick up from this natural based line.

  3. i used to love grease lightning but as my skin changed over the years its just too harsh for me now, also if you want something a bit more rich for shaving, use shower oil. i'm obsessed with it.

  9. I don't seem to get on with lush skincare very well, I think it's because they put lots of lavender and tea tree in and my skin can't handle it! I do like ultrabland though and I really want to try mask of magnaminty, it's meant to be amazing for acne!

  10. Just love LUSH hauls <3 I have used every shaving cream from lush apart from Ambroisa :( will definitely have to try this and charcoal was the first ever product I bought from LUSH for my oily skin and it works great! It really drys the skin and gives a good scrub but I do prefer the dark angels exfoliant to this as its more scrubby and lasts longer xx

  24. I love Lush, but I've never tried any of these products before - I like the sound of that shaving cream though! I'd recommend Ultrabland cleanser, it's so gentle and it's excellent for make up removal. Blousey shampoo is really good if you have dry hair :) xx
