Everything But The Bananas Banana Bread

There's something about baking that just makes me feel so accomplished. I used to always watch my mom bake and found it utterly fascinating to see someone whip together yummy treats in the kitchen without batting an eye. My best friend and I have cooking weekends where we usually try out some new recipes and a great one we've been enjoying lately is a healthy rendition of Banana Bread. In my previous post I mentioned meal prepping and this tasty loaf would be an awesome addition to your week. We meal prepped it last week to have for breakfast every morning and I basically only managed myself out of bed for this tasty treat. You know something's good when you have dreams about it.

Now, you may think I'm cheating by giving you a recipe from a box but I wanted to share this brand with you guys because the mix itself only has eight ingredients. It's very important for me to know what I'm putting in my body and what's the point of eating things with ingredients I can't even pronounce. The Cherryvale Farms Organic Banana Bread Mix contains organic unbleached wheat flour, organic cane sugar, whole egg powder, nonfat dry milk, baking soda, vanilla powder, sea salt and cinnamon. It's a super fast inexpensive mix that's perfect for anyone with a busy lifestyle who's still looking to eat healthy and take care of their body.

What You'll Need :
1 box of Cherryvale Farms Organic Banana Bread Mix
                             1/2 cup of vegetable oil
                             1/4 cup water
                             3 ripe bananas

Directions :
Preheat your oven to 375 F. Grab your favourite loaf pan and apply a generous amount of cooking spray or even dab a bit of olive oil around so your bread doesn't burn or stick.

In a large mixing bowl, mash up three ripe bananas with a fork or spoon. Sometimes we leave the bananas lightly mushed to get that yummy chunky taste but mash to your preference. Then, add your oil, water and the Everything But The Bananas packet and mix mix mix.

Pour your batter into the greased loaf pan and you're ready to go. An optional addition we like to do sometimes is top the bread with a few extra dashes of cinnamon to really get that flavour. Bake the loaf for 50-55 minutes or until you can stick a toothpick through the centre with it coming out clean.

Take the bread out and enjoy! I like to top it with some organic peanut butter and serve it with sliced strawberries on the side but you can basically have this tasty treat any way you prefer. It's a perfect breakfast meal and isn't too high on calories either. Just always remember to moderate your servings and have fun with it. Cooking and being healthy doesn't have to be serious; it can actually be loads of fun!
