Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation

I love trying out new foundations. It's literally my favourite thing to do and about a week ago when I saw that Rimmel had brought out a matte foundation to go along with their Stay Matte Powder, I knew I had to pick it up. I was able to purchase this foundation for $5 at Rite Aid so it was an absolute steal. The Rimmel London Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation has become an absolute must have in my daily routine. There are 8 different shades in the collection ranging from Light Porcelain to Sand so there's bound to be a shade for everyone. I chose the shade True Ivory which is a touch lighter than my natural complexion but when adding bronzer and blush, it really is a perfect match. It's texture is somewhere between a mousse and a liquid foundation and this baby really does what it's set out to - it leaves me matte all day long.

This foundation blends beautifully and feels super lightweight on the skin. I prefer to apply it with my fingertips and then blend it out with a damp Beautyblender. The trouble with some long wearing or mattifying foundations can be that they feel cakey on the skin or don't blend out properly. With this foundation I never feel cakey, no matter how much I put on and the product really melts into my skin. I like to set this with my go to powder - the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder and together they leave my skin feeling flawless. I know that Rimmel also brought out a primer to go along with this lovely product and although I haven't tried it out yet, I'm dying to see if it's as amazing as this foundation. Rimmel is starting to work it's way up to being one of my favourite brands. I absolutely adore the Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation and would recommend it to all of you. For a drugstore brand and a $5 price tag, this foundation is absolutely amazing.

Have you tried this product? What did you think? Let me know, down bellow!

    1. Thank you so much for bringing this up Katie, I've been trying to not be as wordy on my blog posts lately and this seems to happen, I forget important information! This foundation I would say is definitely medium to high coverage. It covers my acne scarring and spots without really needing concealer, it's one of the reasons I love it! I only truly rave about high coverage foundations so I'd definitely recommend it.

    1. I prefer them personally but totally understand it may not be for everyone. The powder is a staple.

    1. really? That's so weird, maybe it just doesn't work for all skin tones and such. I adore this foundation but could see how it wouldn't work well for someone.
