Nail Polish is something that doesn't show up very often on my blog. I've always had trouble keeping my nails polished and long. When I was overweight, my hair and nails were incredibly unhealthy because of my eating habits so I could never manage to grow my nails long because they'd break right away. Now that I'm much healthier, I still have trouble with my polishes. I'm a nervous nail chipper. When I'm in an uncomfortable situation, I tend to chip the polish right off my nails so it never lasts longer than a day or two. I was basically on the hunt for some polishes that didn't chip away too easily and since I had some extra money, I decided to splurge and pick up three Essie Nail Polishes.
Burrowed & Blue is a gorgeous pastel, baby blue colour that shows up beautifully on the nails with only two coats. Usually white toned blues have a hard time appearing true to colour on my nails but this shade's formula is amazing and I love how the pastel colour leaves my hands looking a bit more tan. Merino Cool is a purple toned beige colour that is really the perfect neutral shade. I love how sophisticated and simple it looks on the nails. Lastly, I picked Eternal Optimist which isn't my favourite of the bunch but still a lovely pinky coral colour. It does appear a little washed out with my complexion and seems to be confused between a salmon tone and nude but it's still a lovely polish.
I really am starting to fall in love with the Essie Nail Polish brand and am considering picking up a few more shades in the near future. Would you guys be interested in seeing more posts like this? If you are, I'll also pick up one of those cute fake nail wheels so you can see actual swatches next time. This is one of my first times dabbling with the idea of nail colours on here so let me know what you guys think!

I own seven Essie polishes so far. Two of them are from the neon range, they went all gloopy and dry which I thought was horrible seeing they're not the cheapest. I then got a mini collection of three polishes for christmas and two shades from last year's s/s range and have to admit I'm impressed with their quality! I'd love to see more posts like this :) x
