When Sam was planning Rob's birthday party, Shay and I were stuck on what to make for dessert. We figured people were already bringing cake and cupcakes and didn't want to make something everyone has already seen. When we went to World Market to grab a last minute gift, Shay and I found a book full of Popcorn Recipes. We sat down and fumbled through the pages and found all these fun ways to make popcorn treats and ended up making three bowls worth of different kinds. Something we'd wanted to try ever since was adding pop rocks to warm melted kettle corn so Shay and I bought some White Chocolate Chips and we whipped up some White Chocolate Pop Rocks Fire Cracker Popcorn.
Here's What You'll Need:
- 1 Bag of Popped Kettle Corn
- 1/2 cup of White Chocolate Chips
- 3 Packets of Assorted Pop Rocks Candy
Here's How We Did It:
Honestly this Recipe is easy as can be and it's something that actually tastes and looks amazing. You can make these with tons of different mixes and treats but something simple that'll taste yummy and fun are with these three ingredients. Just go ahead and pop the popcorn in the microwave and make sure they're nice and hot. In a separate bowl, melt your White Chocolate Chips in the microwave for about twenty seconds and stir them into a mix. Then drizzle the gooey chocolate over your freshly popped popcorn and then quickly before the chocolate dries, toss on the Pop Rocks and stir. You can either eat them warm and sticky or let them cool in the fridge for a stiff kettle corn treat. These are super fun and super easy to make and perfect for a mellow movie treat or a party potluck full of sweets!
