On Friday Shay asked me to be his date to dinner. We go out sometimes on Fridays for cheat meals. He held my hand in the car ride and smiled at me over our food. We laughed and went grocery shopping for treats to mix for dessert. He made us sundaes. Bananas, five different flavours of ice cream, homemade whipped cream topped with cinnamon and hot fudge. He crumbled Reeces Pieces and added Nutterbutters, one for each side. He topped with cherries and took care making mine extra sweet. It was sweet, the dessert, the laughter, him.
Sundaes on Fridays at the end of February. Dessert was good but he is my favourite treat.
