The Big Debate | Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment

Sometime around December I found a bit of extra money in my pocket and went into Sephora in hopes of finding skincare products that were going to make a difference. I really value blogging reviews and almost always research items before I buy them. On top of that, I enjoy going to stores and just having a little chat with some of the ladies who are trained to know what products would work best for me. As I was browsing I kept coming across rave reviews for the Glamglow Masks and as I'd tried a sample of these before I was so on the fence as to whether or not I really needed one. I saw that Glamglow actually made a travel size of the Youthmud Treatment and added it to my cart. Fast forward two months and I've just repurchased my second mini jar.

Now most people use this product as a mask however, I personally use it as an overnight spot treatment. The Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment is perfect for getting rid of those problem areas overnight. Inside this mask you will find ingredients including French Sea Clay, Pumice, Green Tea Leaf, Chamomile and Lavender. All very organic beautiful ingredients that are going to work towards really cleansing your skin. As the price point is so drastically debatable, I like to stick with the sample size and just use a dollop here and there on really bad problem areas overnight. I put on a even amount; not too thin and not too thick and just let it dry, tingle, and tighten into my skin. Be sure to frequently change your pillow cases if you're going to use an overnight treatment. I just wake up in the morning, wash my face off with a hot cloth and my skin looks drastically different. This is one of those products that I desperately need during that time of month where my hormones are off kilter and my skin is punishing me. I love being able to trust a natural mask to help my skin look its best.

Let's talk about that price tag. I know that so many people are just uneasy about the price point of these masks when it comes to the full size jars. Spending almost $70 on a single product is simply not something everyone is going to be able to do. I personally am so relieved that of the three mask options, the Youthmud is my favourite and comes in a sample sized jar. I don't think I would feel comfortable spending the full amount ever but it definitely is a gorgeous luxurious product. I love that this mud mask does work and can be versatile. If you're really on the fence, try out a sample or three but in my opinion, the $19 jar is a friendly medium and is definitely worth the splurge.

  1. I saw it in Sephora yesterday and it looked so tempting! But I wouldn't spend so much on it either, and sample sizes aren't available here, so I guess I'll just have to try some DIY recipes. I know it won't be as good, but the price breaks my heart ;)

  2. I absolutely love this product! A lot of women I know love the one in the white container (Super Mud), but this one is my favorite. You can find the full size jars at TJ Maxx and Marshalls for about half the price. I'm not entirely sure if it's $20 or $30, but I DO know that it's nowhere near $70.

  9. I have heard so many positive things about the Glamglow masks but I just can't justify spending that much on one product! I may try one of their sample packs but then I#m worried I will like it so much I will be tempted to buy the full size! :) x

  23. What a great idea to use this as a pinpoint treatment on spots, I guess it probably lasts way longer too. I'm still not sure about the price though, I'm sure they do a set which includes three masks here it's slightly cheaper think I may make an investment at some point if there's anything worse investing in it's definitely the skin! :) xx
