Lately my life basically consists of working 24/7 and exercising whenever I can, so when the weekend comes about I generally try to jam pack it with activities and some kind of social life. This past weekend was hectic to say the least. I went browsing through the shops Saturday afternoon and basically the entirety of Sunday looking for outfits to throw together for the hot summer months and upcoming events I have to look forward to. We even went to lunch on Sunday at my favourite cozy little restaurant Leo n Lilys and I chowed down on this deliciously healthy Club Sandwich.
On Saturday night I got the chance to go see William Fitzsimmons perform live at the Troubadour in Beverly Hills and it was definitely a mixture of overwhelming emotions. I had been addicted to his soft, entrancing voice for ages now. His songs and lyrics truly helped me through some incredibly lonely times when I was living in Europe. I remember just sitting at my desk looking out the window every night and feeling a sense of comfort while I listened to his album on repeat. His style of music is very slow and soft and a lot of his songs aren't exactly happy but they're raw and beautiful and I think he, himself is an absolutely beautiful human being. His personality was so genuine and carefree and he was hilarious. It felt nice to let go and laugh along with him. It was surreal seeing someone I'd listened to for so long in person and with so much life and stage presence.
This weekend I'll be attending an even bigger concert event so I'm looking forward to that. I'm packed with work for the rest of the week but hopefully I'll pop in with another blog post before Friday comes about. I've missed writing to you guys. Be patient with me.
